GCA name best garden centre in Scotland and Northern Ireland
Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced the winners of its best garden centre award for both Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Garden Centre Association (GCA) announced the winners of its best garden centres in Scotland and Northern Ireland awards at a recent presentation of awards for the group.
Garden Wise Plant & Garden Centre was named Best Garden Centre and Simpsons Garden Centre was named Best Destination Garden centre in Scotland. While Creative Gardens Donaghadee scooped Best Garden Centre in Northern Ireland.
As well as naming the best garden centres in both regions, the awards also highlighted the achievements of garden centres in a number of different categories. The areas highlighted included best customer service, best environment and community, best creativity and innovation, best plant area and also best garden products retailers. The full list of winners in each of the categories can be read below.
The awards were decided by the results of the annual inspections, which take place at all GCA garden centres. The top scoring centres overall, nationally, in both the destination garden centre and garden centre categories will be re-inspected before the titles of Garden Centre of the Year and Destination Garden Centre of the Year are announced at the GCA annual conference taking place in January 2015.
At the event, held in Dumfries, Iain Wylie, Chief Executive of the GCA, expressed delight at show casing the best that both regions had to offer in terms of garden centre standards. He also congratulated the winners on their awards saying ‘it is a reflection of all their hard work and dedication to excellence, and they should all be very proud of their achievements.’

Garden Products Retailer: Garden Wise Plant & Garden Centre (GC) and Simpsons Garden Centre (DGC)
Best Indoor Lifestyle: Garden Wise Plant & Garden Centre (GC) and Raemoir Garden Centre (DGC)
Best Outdoor Living: The Mains of Drum Garden Centre (GC) and Simpsons Garden Centre (DGC).
